Opening Pitch

It is sixteen years after the Material War between Earth and the outer space colonies. Tensions are high between rebellion forces and Covenant, Earth’s militant peacekeeping organization. despite ongoing negotiations. A reignition of war is on the horizon, and rumors that rebellion forces are gathering superweapons in the form of large, humanoid mecha only seems to exacerbate the issue.

Story Overview

History

  • Earth: Half the population remains, some pretty defined socioeconomic differences, many poor people.
  • Mars: Split between wealthy immigrants and blue-collar to no-collar workers, partially terraformed.
  • Moon: Scientific outpost, fighting to remain neutral in conflict and secede from the Earth Federation. Unsuccessfully terraformed and residents live inside simulated environments
  • Space colonies: Several disparate colonies. Originally wealthy and the lucky who were granted permission to or forcibly asked to immigrate, now have established a more typical socioeconomic divide.

    • Mars and the Moon are both around their 2nd generation of births. Moon residents travel back and forth between the colonies more often, Mars and Space Colony residents often don’t leave unless they’re rich or required to for work reasons. Current earth residents would likely never have traveled to space and come back, unless for really good or specific reasons.

    Campaign begins on a neutral outpost, potentially a space station or the Moon itself.
